Technology Overview
We at Fleming Family Dentistry & Aesthetics offer the latest in dental technology to make your experience quick, easy, and as painless as possible!
We offer a number of modern technologies and cutting-edge procedures to help diagnose and treat many dental conditions, from digital x-rays to CEREC restorations.
We also take every precaution to keep you safe. This includes disinfection and sterilization of treatment rooms, dental instruments, and other tools like x-ray machines. We use the latest technology in cleaning solutions and packaging material to prevent the transmission of any bacteria or disease.
Sirona® Cone Beam technology provides a 3D digital tomographic view of the patient’s area of interest. A traditional x-ray is only two-dimensional. With Cone Beam systems, Dr. Fleming is able to get a full 360 degree view of the tooth and all surrounding areas.
The 3D Cone Beam scanner provides nearly limitless views of the teeth while using less radiation than traditional medical CT technology. This new technology is fast, simple and painless, providing many wonderful benefits that were unavailable only a few years ago.
CEREC Technology has literally transformed modern dentistry. Our patients can have complex restorative dental care completed in just one day, even within a couple of hours; versus having the same procedure spread out over long periods of time, or several appointments.
Perhaps even more amazing than the speed and the quality of the dental crowns created with CEREC technology, is the fact that they are also cost-effective! In fact, one CEREC same-day crown is about the same in price as a lab-made traditional dental crown.
Formlabs develops next generation dental 3D printing platforms allowing for in-house fabrication to Fleming Family Dentistry & Aesthetics.
It’s the patients who stand to gain the most from the advances in digital dentistry. Starting with your visit with Dr. Fleming, being able to visualize a dental procedure can be as reassuring for the patient as it is helpful for the practitioner. Virtual treatment planning, diagnostic wax-ups, and highly detailed replicas can help patients envision and understand the treatment they will be receiving in great detail, reducing anxiety and increasing patient acceptance.
